<h2>Separation anxiety and sleep problems in 12 month old?</h2>
<p class="faq_question">My 12 month old daughter has been having a hard time getting to sleep at night.  She screams bloody murder when we put her in the crib at night, and she works herself up into a frenzy, even to the point where she is pulling her own hair out and she is getting bald spots.  We rock her and hold her, lay down next to the crib, and nothing works to put her to sleep other than letting her scream in her crib.  We give her 10 minutes and she usually stops within that time, but not without hysterics and hair pulling.  We&#8217;ve tried giving her a paci or a lovey, but there is nothing that she wants. She just wants me to hold her.  I wouldn&#8217;t mind holding her, but she doesn&#8217;t fall asleep that way, and I end up making the whole fiasco continue for hours.  I would bring her into our bed, but she won&#8217;t sleep there.  She thinks it&#8217;s time to play and crawls all over and it&#8217;s not safe for her.  I need serious help!  I just don&#8217;t know what to do.
